It was not a great revolution that freed the slaves in the US, it was people willing to go to war against slave states to destroy their pro-slave governments, and free the slaves, that freed them. My bloodline paid its reparations in the blood it spilled already.
The number of family members that died back then has left us with an unknown loss to our present lives.
